Robert’s time at Jerome’s studio is a flawless parody of the enigma that is Tyler Perry as Ma Dukes is a theatrical Black matriarch played by Jerome himself in drag. One of my all-time favorite episodes of The Boondocks is when Robert scores a role in the fictional playwright Winston Jerome’s play Ma Dukes Finds Herself a Man.
